Terrence is a Director and Principal Consultant at Alxemy, bringing more than 15 years of experience in payroll, HRIS systems, and process optimisation. He has held senior roles with leading organisations including MYOB, where he worked as a PayGlobal Consultant, and Woolworths NZ, as a payroll systems advisor.
At Alxemy, Terrence manages the consulting services team, where he focuses on delivering tailored solutions to meet each client’s unique requirements. He enjoys working side by side with clients, sharing knowledge, and finding creative approaches to solve complex challenges.
Known for being solution driven, he has a particular passion for brand awareness, building client relationships, and upskilling teams to achieve long-term success.
Away from work, Terrence is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, running, gardening, and spending time with his family.
Stephan is the founder of Alxemy and has spent more than 20 years helping organisations turn complex payroll and workforce management challenges into clear, workable solutions. He has led large-scale implementations, compliance projects, and system upgrades across New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa, working with technologies including MYOB PayGlobal, Dayforce, Ready Workforce, and DataPay. Before establishing Alxemy in 2021, Stephan held senior leadership roles such as Practice Manager, Business Development Manager, and General Manager.
Clients know Stephan as a relentless problem solver who thrives on designing systems that make a real difference in day-to-day operations.
He is passionate about simplifying complexity, building confidence in processes, and ensuring that technology supports people rather than the other way around.
Outside of work, Stephan is a keen runner and mountain biker, fluent in three languages, and a connoisseur of terrible dad jokes. His balance of technical expertise, leadership, and approachable personality underpins the culture of problem-solving that defines Alxemy.
At Alxemy, Cel leads project and programme management for enterprise customers delivering complex global initiatives. She built Alxemy’s internal PMO to optimise operations and continues to refine delivery practices that improve efficiency and enable long-term business growth.
Cel has held senior leadership roles in New Zealand, Australia and the Philippines, including 15 years with MYOB, where she progressed from QA and BA roles into PMO leadership. She also served as Head of PMO at Commerce Vision, and her experience spans industries from IT to eCommerce.
Internationally recognised, Cel served for six years as a PMI Global Judge for the World PMO of the Year, assessing entries from 64 countries.
She is a Committee Member of the PMI Sustainability Special Interest Group in New Zealand and one of the judges for the PMI NZ Annual Awards, including Project Management, Best PMO of the Year and other categories.
At Alxemy, Cel focuses on governance, alignment and operational excellence, turning complexity into clarity and designing service models that fuel sustainable growth. Colleagues and clients know her as someone who creates momentum, simplifies journeys and delivers lasting impact. Beyond her love for structure and process, Cel is equally creative and adventurous. She enjoys painting, music and family time, as well as camping and travelling around New Zealand and abroad. Cel blends her passion for structure with a creative streak, enabling her to design innovative ways of working and service models that drive real business impact.
John manages Alxemy’s Dayforce practice, leading a team of consultants and working closely with clients, partners, and prospects to deliver workforce management solutions that improve how people work.
With a career that spans teaching, payroll software development, and consulting, John brings both technical expertise and a natural talent for communication. Originally from Houston, Texas, he began as a high school history teacher before moving into PayGlobal, where he held roles across support, development, and account management. After several years living in Japan, John relocated to Christchurch in 2008, where he has built a career around leading teams and delivering enterprise payroll and HR solutions.
John’s passion lies in building high-performing teams. He thrives on recruitment, training, and mentoring, helping individuals grow while ensuring that Alxemy’s projects are delivered to the highest standards. Known for his engaging presentation style, he has a knack for turning complex systems into clear, actionable outcomes, whether in the boardroom, on stage at a conference, or even on a comedy club stage.
Outside of work, John is a baseball fan loyal to the Houston Astros, a keen traveller in search of New Zealand’s best meat pies, and someone who believes in the importance of organisational culture. His ability to blend technical knowledge with a personable, approachable manner makes him a trusted advisor to clients and a leader who inspires his team.
